
Ruisi Doris Du is a versatile violist currently pursuing her professional Study certificate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), having previously earned her master degree from SFCM and Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music (MSM).
Her performance career is marked by high-profile appearances, most notably at the Super Bowl National Anthem ceremony as part of the Charlie Puth set. As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the SFCM Orchestra, MSM Symphony, Chelsea Symphony, and has served as a seasonal substitute for the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra.
A specialist in historical performance, Doris is the winner of the SFCM Baroque Concerto Competition. Her expertise in early music has led to collaborations with the UC Berkeley Baroque Ensemble, SFCM Baroque Ensemble, and participation in the Berwick Academy at the Oregon Bach Festival.
Doris has been recognized in numerous competitions, earning the Best Bach Performance award at the Great Composers Competition, as well as prizes at the Hong Kong International String Competition and the Asian Music Competition. Her discography includes a recording of Russian Soldier’s Song conducted by Leonard Slatkin. Beyond the stage, she is deeply involved in music education and production through the SF Symphony AIM Program and the San Francisco Early Music Society (SFEMS).
