Sungdu is a Korean flutist currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Catherine Payne, the piccolo chair of the San Francisco Symphony.
Recent achievements include winning the second flute position of the San Luis Obispo Symphony and attending the Texas Music Festival, gaining extensive orchestral and chamber music experience.
Sungdu has performed widely as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, with recognition in concerto competitions and appearances at music festivals. Prior experience includes serving as principal flute in a Korean military wind band, performing for national ceremonies and public events with a high level of artistry and professionalism.
With a strong focus on orchestral performa Sungdu continues to develop a professional career as a flutist, building a presence in the Bay Area.
