Yeonglee Kim is a Korean-born violinist whose work spans performance and pedagogy across the United States and South Korea.
She is the winner of the Prokofiev Concerto Competition at Indiana University, and a prizewinner at the Pancho Vladigerov International Violin Competition and the Hammelburg International Violin Competition.
Her chamber music activities include performances at the Seoul Arts Center, along with recognition at the Glass City Chamber Music Competition. She has collaborated with artists including Jozsef Lendvay, Daekun Jang, Sungmi Im, and Julia Bentley. Her interest in historical performance led her to study Baroque violin with Ingrid Matthews and Stanley Ritchie, and to appear as a soloist with the Indiana University Baroque Orchestra.
Alongside her performing career, she is actively engaged in teaching. She has served as an Associate Instructor at Indiana University and as a chamber music instructor at the Edward Auer Piano Workshop. Her students have received awards in international competitions and have been accepted into leading music programs internationally.
She received her early training in Korea through the pre-college program at Korea National University of the Arts and Seoul Arts High School, and earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University. She later completed her Performer Diploma, Master of Music, and Doctor of Music at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music as a full scholarship recipient under the Jacobs Chairman Awards and an Associate Instructor Fellowship, studying under Professor Kevork Mardirossian.
